The bravest minds tried to simulate the future! Let’s go through my favorite films… 01. Back to the Future (1985) Director: Robert Zemeckis. The heroes of the film have learned to travel in time and this approach overturns the usual picture of the world!!! Everything that seemed familiar and understandable changes its meaning! 02. Renaissance (2008) Director: Christian Volkman. A dark animated version of the future. Events take place in Paris. We will recognize iconic architectural monuments around which modern architecture has been added using new space technologies. However, human passions are reminiscent of Shakespeare’s plays. Human nature remains unchanged. 03. Blade Runner (1982) Director: Ridley Scott. The authors of the film are studying the problem of creating biorobots that are as similar as possible to people, but with superpowers. Now we are already seeing this: a person with a smartphone in his hand is already, to some extent, a biorobot. The implantation of chips and artificial body parts is already a reality that is rapidly developing!!! 04. Interstellar (2014) Directed by: Christopher Nolan. The main idea of the film: Time is a living creature that lives by its own rules, and these rules are still closed to people… Traveling vast distances in space inevitably leads people to this problem…
05. Solaris (1972) Directed by: Andrei Tarkovsky. Based on the novel by Stanisław Lem. A very original and bold idea is that the planet behaves like a living being. This is manifested in the fact that it penetrates the thoughts of astronauts who have flown from the earth and creates for them those images that appear in their heads. This is a very interesting point of view! After all, people are confident in their perfection! However, we are inferior in many respects even to familiar pets… This means that there are parallel worlds that are inaccessible to ordinary people due to their imperfect structure…
06. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) Directed by Stanley Kubrick. The film is based on the novel by Arthur Clarke. An amazingly accurate prediction of the conflict between the human mind and the artificial intelligence created by him! The on-board computer on the spacecraft decides to destroy the crew of the ship. Astronauts are horrified to discover this at the last moment!!! Describing the future is very difficult, but very interesting… What will be the future in McTire’s novel?… I’m thinking about it! Soon we will see new sketches and frames of the future comic… For now, the main work is going on in my head!!! Let’s see what happens…
