RED SKETCH BOOK 01

I try to use the sketchbook as a laboratory for new ideas. It is probably important for me to be able to draw in order to fix my ideas on paper in the form of images. This Red Sketchbook was my friend from January 21, 2021 to August 9, 2022. All my ideas and events remained on the pages of this book. Now I’m interested in slowly turning these pages. Unexpectedly for myself, I realized that this is a portrait of the time in which I live and everyone around me! We dream, we make interesting plans in our heads, and suddenly LIFE turns everything upside down, wipes this board with inscriptions and asks: If you are still alive, write something new))) Another image of time in my head: THIS IS A GRID, THROUGH WHICH SAND FLYS, BUT SMALL PIECES OF SHINING GOLD REMAIN IN MEMORY… The skill of drawing on paper is gradually becoming a thing of the past. New technologies make a person lazy and capricious (I WANT TO PRESS THE BUTTON AND GET THE RESULT QUICKLY!). Drawing on paper takes a lot of time and patience, but there is a living energy in such drawings that the new generation of digital art will not replace. Gradually we are moving into the era of robots and androids. This time will have its own tools and heroes, but it is important to preserve the ability of a person to create man-made objects, art created by a person for a person. You can say very important things in this language…
