In this post I want to talk a little about my experience learning animation. In my opinion, the comic book genre is very close to animation. In a comic book, the artist draws key frames that help the viewer imagine the story. In this manner of presenting the material there is a vivid dialogue with the viewer. The viewer unwittingly becomes a co-author and tries in his imagination to draw in more detail those events that are between the finished frames. Gradually I am bringing my idea to the creation of a storyboard.
Storyboarding for me has a practical meaning in creating animation. This is a more detailed shot of how the image changes within the frame over time. I try not to draw new drawings but make collages from ready-made frames. The inspiring thing for me is that the stills from the storyboard can be used for the original comic. In this case, of course, the main task of the storyboard is to prepare in detail all the images for creating animation…
I hope this short story helps my viewers understand how the process of working on my projects goes. Next, I will try to describe other aspects of my work for those who are interested…
